I enjoy seeing transpromotional documents in my mail. Chase Auto Finance recently upgraded their monthly statement mailing to me. Although a step in the right direction, they wasted a lot of effort for what they produced. Here it is:

It’s not the freshest, but hey, this blog is new. Cut us some slack.
Australia’s Major Mail Users article clearly shows Kodak’s position on transpromotional documents. Most of the other manufacturers aren’t targeting specific document types as aggressively as Kodak is hunting the transpromotional document.

InfoTrends’ latest research does a great job of flipping things over. An interesting view is that transpromotional strategies are expensive to some, but an incredible bargain to others. I can’t share the study’s conclusions, because it is a new multi-client study, but I can share an insight form the study.
If an Operations Manager sees costs increase by a few cents per document, of course it’s expensive. Any good Operations Manager will put a stop to somehting that adds this much cost to an existing process that is working. ”If the customers are paying, then the process is working” makes for a pretty compelling argument.
